Associate’s of Academic Martial Arts (AAMA)
Description: The Associate’s Academic Martial Arts curriculum is designed to improve the student’s skill and knowledge from a beginners level ability to a well-rounded and capable martial artist to a mid-level marital arts student. In this program, students will learn a variety of skills and talents related to martial arts including fighting skills, healing abilities, stealth, psionics, weapons, and more. Because the breadth of topics covered, even experienced martial artists are encouraged to start with the AMA I curriculum.
The Bachelor’s level AMA curriculum will provide the knowledge and experience for the student to achieve a rank of 1st dan (first degree black belt).
The Master’s level AMA curriculum will provide the knowledge and experience for the student to achieve a rank of 5th dan (fifth degree black belt).
The Ph.D. level AMA curriculum will provide the knowledge and experience for the student to achieve a rank of 10th dan (tenth degree black belt).
Learning Objectives: During this program, students will
- Understand and demonstrate basic fighting techniques
- Understand and demonstrate Rolling and Falling Safely
- Understand and demonstrate a basic level of using various weapons
- Understand and demonstrate the basic principles of stealth, cover, and concealment
- Understand and demonstrate at least two Healing techniques
- Understand and demonstrate the basic principles of Meditation, Orienteering, and Martial Arts Philosophies
- Understand and demonstrate the basic principles and use of Psionics
- Demonstrate a high level of fitness and agility
- Understand and demonstrate principles of effective Leadership

Mission Statement of the Program
In support of the University mission, the Agriculture Department is comprised of creative, highly qualified professionals dedicated to preparing our students for entry-level opportunities and long-term career success, providing a fulfilling experience for members of our faculty, and making meaningful contributions to the professional and academic communities we serve.
The Agriculture Program offers a B.S. and an A.S. in Agribusiness. The program is committed to providing a wide range of tools necessary for successful admission to graduate school. The program seeks to develop professional and practical scholarship through exploration of fundamental and contemporary concerns, including those dealing with ethical issues. Such an education provides the graduate with a background suited to meeting the needs of a challenging job market.
The Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness will put you on a career path to work for local, national, or international accounting and consulting firms. Opportunities are also available in Agribusiness, higher education, government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations. Students may also choose to earn an Associate of Science degree for quick entry into the workforce and a foundation for further education, or to minor in Agribusiness as a supplement to another ACIU major.
Program Outcome Objectives
Upon completion of this program, it is expected that students will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of current accounting principles, tax law, current auditing standards, and the use of accounting information by management.
- Develop critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Apply accounting theory in a practical manner.
- Demonstrate technology skills necessary to solve accounting problems.
- Meet the requirements for entry-level careers in accounting such as auditing, corporate accounting, governmental, not-for-profit organizations, and taxation.
- Demonstrate the capability to critically and reflectively engage ethical issues in accounting, particularly questions pertaining to social responsibility and professional practice.
